U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) Summer Hire Program
June through August, TARDEC will infuse its ranks with new talent seeking high school, undergraduate and graduate-level college students interested in working on science and engineering programs like the development of hybrid-electric vehicles, fuel-efficient energy modules and advanced robotics. TARDEC's Summer Hires work closely alongside associates on cutting-edge research and developmet projects.

RAHS School Based Health Clinic to Offer FREE H1N1 Vaccine to All Willow Run Students and Staff
In the Secondary Complex, 235 Spencer Lane, the RAHS School Based Health Clinic will offer the H1N1 vaccine by appointment. Call 961-6265 to schedule.
Vaccines are FREE to all Willow Run students and staff. Consent forms are available in school offices and in the clinic. Any questions, please call Ms. Lori Bennett, FNP, at 734-961-6265.

Free ACT Prep Class for WRHS Students
When: Tuesdays, January - February, 2010*
Where: Willow Run High School
Time(s): Required Diagnostic exams on December 12th and February 13th are 8am-12noon; Classes on Tuesday's will run from 3-5pm
Sign Up: By Friday, December 4th in room 102 at WRHS
ACT prep courses can cost into the thousands of dollars, however, this program is FREE for students at Willow Run. Last year student scores went up 11.2%. This program requires a 6-week commitment in January and February, plus required diagnostic exams on December 12, 2009 and February 13, 2010. Students must attend all sessions. Full dates are listed on the ACT Flyer.
The ACT Preparation program first meeting, practice test #1, will take place Saturday, December 12, from 8:00am-12noon at 320 Halle Library, EMU. Lunch and time at the EMU Student Center will follow the practice test, provided by EMU Gear Up. Transportation to and from WRHS for registered students is provided by Second Baptist Church. Busses depart at 7:50am and will return approximately at 2pm. Questions can be answered by contacting Ms. Kelli Hatfield at 734-320-7931.

FREE on-site assistance from professionals to help you fill out the FAFSA!
Not sure about college? Apply for the money now and decide later. If you wait, chances are you'll get less. If you are a student or a parent, you need information on how to obtain financial aid for college.
At College Goal Sunday you can:
• get free on-site professional assistance filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form;
• talk to financial aid professionals about financial aid resources and how to apply; and
• get information regarding statewide student services, admission requirements, and more!
There are 28 locations in Michigan. The Ypsilanti location is: Eastern Michigan University Bruce T. Halle Library, 955 W. Circle Drive, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 from 1pm-4pm.

What: Summer Science Academy
When: June 13 - June 26, 2010
Where: University of Michigan Medical School
Application Deadline: February 1, 2010
Attention 10th & 11th Graders:
The University of Michigan Medical School Diversity & Career Development Office Summer Science Academy is a 2 week entry level academic enrichment program that brings together highly motivated 10th and 11th grade disadvantaged students from throughout Michigan to experience campus, medical school life and other opportunities. All students that have a strong interest in medicine and health disparties are encouraged to apply.
Students will:
- Discover careers in medicine!
- Make your college application more competitive!
- Participate in fun-filled activities and events!
- Stay in a campus dormitory for 2 weeks!
- Experience what college life is really like.
Completed application and supporting materials must be postmarked and mailed by February 1st, 2010. The program costs $1500. Full and partial scholarships are available.

Willow Run Community Schools is pleased to announce “Bottles-N-Backpacks”, a Child Development Center inside Henry Ford Elementary School, located at 2440 Clark Road.|
Bottles-N-Backpacks operates independently from Willow Run Community Schools and brings to our community child care for children, ages 6 1/2 weeks - 12 years old.
Key highlights of the program include:
- Hours of operation: 6:00am - 6:00pm
- Transportation to Ford School provided by Bottles-N-Backpacks
- Before and After School Care/focused on physical fitness and nutrition
